AI-Ability Companion Toolkit

Plan clearly. Verify evidence. Track what matters. Deliver accountably.

Put PLAN–TRACK–DELIVER and the ABILITY framework into practice. This integrated companion toolkit contains the editable work products referenced in AI-Ability for Project Management, including worksheets, reusable reference structures, Context Briefs and completed Rivergate examples.

Use the tools to strengthen project planning, tracking, decisions and delivery while keeping evidence, professional judgement and accountability in human hands. These resources are available directly. No newsletter subscription or user account is required.

The Toolkit contains 16 core tools covering the complete responsibility-to-result journey:

  • Identifying valuable and responsible opportunities for AI assistance.
  • Defining the permitted AI contribution, information boundary, verification requirements and human decision authority.
  • Developing business cases, scope baselines, schedules, cost-resource plans and risk responses.
  • Strengthening stakeholder engagement, governance, communication and results-focused monitoring.
  • Supporting decisions, change control, project recovery, delivery readiness and transition.
  • Reviewing benefits and learning from project results.
  • Designing a controlled AI-assisted project operating procedure.
  • Testing one live responsibility through a structured 30-day cycle

The tools are supported by guidance prompts, reusable structures, Context Briefs and completed Rivergate examples that show how evidence, review and accountability should work in practice.

  • Read the corresponding chapter and completed Rivergate example in the main book.
  • Select the tool—and only the fields—proportionate to the decision, consequence and project context.
  • Complete the tool using authorised evidence and named human owners.
  • Adapt the depth and controls to the project, applicable law, contract, organisational policy and information-security requirements.
  • Verify the work before integration, record the decision and track its consequences
